Shaan Hamann, program co-facilitator
Shaan Hamann's involvement in Aboriginal affairs spans more than two decades. She has worked in government, private and community controlled sectors in the areas of Native Title, tertiary and community education, and the social and emotional wellbeing. Shaan has been involved in the development and implementation of the Marumali Program since it began in 2000. Shaan has a degree in Adult Education and her involvement has included co-facilitation of many Marumali workshops. Shaan is a second generation survivor of forcible removal policies and is currently undertaking an evaluation of the Marumali Program.
Maurice Walker, program co-facilitator
Maurice was born and raised in Queensland but now lives in the ACT. He has a long history of working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. He was involved at a national level in major projects such as Stolen Generations and the “Bringing Them Home” programs and has also worked at the grass roots level on the Aboriginal Deaths in Custody initiative. He has a Level 2 Train the Trainer Certificate through the Australian Institute of Management (2001).Maurice works closely with Lorraine in facilitating the Marumali program workshops.
Kerrie Kelly, Psychologist/program co-facilitator
Kerrie Kelly is a psychologist who has had many years experience working with survivors of various types of trauma. She has a particular interest in the area of social and emotional well-being and resilience. She is an experienced educator and has developed and delivered a range of workshops dealing with stress, trauma and recovery. She is proud to be associated with the Marumali program and has been for a number of years. Kerrie co-facilitates the Marumali Risk Management training workshop with Lorraine and works across the program according to need.
