Maurice Walker, program co-facilitator
Maurice was born and raised in Queensland but now lives in the ACT. He has a long history of working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. He was involved at a national level in major projects such as Stolen Generations and the “Bringing Them Home” programs and has also worked at the grass roots level on the Aboriginal Deaths in Custody initiative. He has a Level 2 Train the Trainer Certificate through the Australian Institute of Management (2001).Maurice works closely with Lorraine in facilitating the Marumali program workshops.
Kerrie Kelly, Psychologist/program co-facilitator
Kerrie Kelly is a psychologist who has had many years experience working with survivors of various types of trauma. She has a particular interest in the area of social and emotional well-being and resilience. She is an experienced educator and has developed and delivered a range of workshops dealing with stress, trauma and recovery. She is proud to be associated with the Marumali program and has been for a number of years. Kerrie co-facilitates the Marumali Risk Management training workshop with Lorraine and works across the program according to need.
Wanda Braybrook, program co-facilitator
Wanda is a welfare officer who commenced her professional career over 25 years ago as a regional caseworker with the Department of Human Services. Over the years, she has held positions as a senior administrator in government and community agencies in education, community development and health. Wanda is also a director of the Aboriginal Community Elders Service and has a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training. Wanda works closely with Lorraine in facilitating the Marumali program workshops.
Kelly Faldon, program co-facilitator
Kelly is a Taungarong woman who has lived and worked in the Victorian Aboriginal Community in various positions for the past twenty years. Kelly is a qualified Welfare Officer whose experience and employment covers areas such as Community Development, Youth Work, Vocational Training and Health. She has a strong background in providing information to Aboriginal communities and government departments on various issues such as family violence, gambling and homelessness. Kelly also has a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training and Certificate III in Broadcasting. She is currently a director of Songlines Aboriginal Music Corporation and the Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service. She is also the regular breakfast host on Indigenous radio station 3KND. Kelly works closely with Lorraine in facilitating the Marumali program workshops.
